I thought it was later than that, - I remember reading it, and going back to it later, although I didn't take much notice of the advice on what figures to use.Trebianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02221916804339000102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7615782020735321095.post-24561717712398014162016-04-09T12:45:36.348+01:002016-04-09T12:45:36.348+01:00An article on the French Wars of Religion by Dave ...An article on the French Wars of Religion by Dave Millward in 'Battle' September 1978 (just checked that!) inspired me, and maybe many others. Having said that, I never quite got round to actually raising any troops. The infantry fight on the wings can turn out to be them ore interesting part of the battle.Trebianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02221916804339000102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7615782020735321095.post-42294764745420768112016-04-03T15:22:51.336+01:002016-04-03T15:22:51.336+01:00In La Reine Margot, Henri was played by Daniel Aut...In La Reine Margot, Henri was played by Daniel Auteuil. All a bit last minute (not my figures) so we only had time for one practice game for which we tried DBR. It was an absolute disaster as the Huguenot Light Horse disrupted the royal cavalry making it impossible for them to get a charge in. On the day we used Terry Gore's Renaissance Warfare which neither of us had used for over 10 years but, once we got our head around the rules we had a good game. My excellent dice rolling reversed history but it was still a close run thing.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09819909229567148447noreply@blogger.com
