Hopefully we can factor the Northampton Battlefields stuff into our display ... maybe we could persuade some of the Harrington's Companye to come down with some armour and weapons? ...

I rather liked the University venue ... noise and temperature were comfortable all through and the light in the atrium was splendid for taking pictures of little figures (frankly, less acre was required for the casual snapper).

However, things move on, and it is good to see Derby well supported by trade, games and players ... although our little zone could have done with a few more general visitors on the Sunday morning I think it is fair to say ...

PhilSoA Shows Northhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14181076390844159417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7615782020735321095.post-73496289006389526072014-10-07T11:12:27.214+01:002014-10-07T11:12:27.214+01:00I'd have to agree that getting things in and o...I'd have to agree that getting things in and out is easier at the new location. I never ran a game at the Assembly Rooms so I can't comment, although I know generally that parking was a nightmare. They were the most family friendly tho' - when my wife got bored she could wander into the City.

I realise that not everyone worries about the noise, but combined with the acoustics it makes it quite hard running a game based around player dialogue as we were.

My favourite show & venue is Campaign at Milton Keynes, which I'm pleased to say is back next year!Trebianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02221916804339000102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7615782020735321095.post-43619849500521158672014-10-07T10:14:02.733+01:002014-10-07T10:14:02.733+01:00I prefer the new venue to the old by a good way -0... I prefer the new venue to the old by a good way -0 from a traders view its much much easier to set up and pull down - the Assembly Rooms in Derby were a nightmare and the university whilst much better were still a bit of a pain for some.
I just don't get the noise thing its at worst periodic and sometimes drowns out the droning wargamers! so its not all bad ! the aircraft are an occaisional pain but not much.
Cold wasn't a problem this year at all and even the Kharsis were mostly better .... mostly .
Big Andyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17235478427317774609noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7615782020735321095.post-8468869359770542792014-10-07T08:54:42.966+01:002014-10-07T08:54:42.966+01:00I'm looking forwards to seeing progress too......I'm looking forwards to seeing progress too...Trebianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02221916804339000102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7615782020735321095.post-25393439383379866412014-10-07T01:47:15.952+01:002014-10-07T01:47:15.952+01:00Excellent show wrap-up!
