Shed Update (2)

No work on the shed for the last week. No sight of the builder.

So I phoned him up this evening. Apparently he fell off a ladder putting up his Christmas lights.

He may be back in action by the weekend

I'm having similar emotions to when you are told your train has been cancelled due to someone deciding to use it as a means of exiting this earthly plane of existence. Annoyance then guilt at being annoyed.

Anyhow, he has given the okay to have the electricians come in so at least we can make some progress this week, I hope.

  1. Hmmm...a festive pork pie by the builder methinks...the phrase "just going to see Mr O'Reilly, dear!" spring to mind...

  2. Worst. Excuse. Ever. He's clearly got another job or two on the go and put yours down the list. Tell him its £100 a day off the bill until its done - he'll soon recover!

    1. As I said to Monty, it'll be true. We live in a village and tradesmen that lie about stuff like that get found oput and then don't get any work.

  4. Hi Trebian

Having fallen off a ladder myself just a couple of months ago I can tell you that it isn't funny and certainly hurt a fair bit. I was on pain killers for a fortnight which is not fun either as I have been hospitalised in the past due to medication re-actions.

Your hut will come of age in due course!

    1. Jim,

I have massive sympathy for anyone injured like that, having been off work for six months with back problems that required surgery. The major difference thn was they still handed out opiates as pain killers, so I slept really well and had lovely dreams.

  5. Think carefully before deciding what colour to paint it.

I suggest googling 50 sheds of gray
