William and his team came and replaced Shedquarter's roofing felt today. I went for the new rubber type of sheeting instead of felt like I had originally. This is fairly recent technology, not available when SHQ was put up. The sheets are larger, so there's only one really well overlapped seam, and fewer chances of leaks. It stretches and is glued in place, so it should last longer. It was more than twice the price of the felt, but I think it will be worth it.
I'm happier with how it is fixed to the eaves as well, held in place with steel plates.
The work was delayed a few days due to supply issues and then bad weather. However, today was nice and sunny, so they could strip the felt and get up on the roof to inspect it and clean it. I'm pleased to say the wood work was sound, and although a bit damp in places it was pretty much dried by the sun. I have a little damp inside, but now no more water is getting in that should soon dry out.
Looking forward to another decade or two of wargaming in SHQ.
